Progressive Needham Sends Delegates to Convention

After a packed general chapter meeting on Friday night at the Kirks' home, many Progressive Needham members got up early the next morning to Caucus with the Needham Dems.

It was a mini-reunion the next day, with many first-timers, as well as many people who had caucused before, but not in many years.

At the caucus, everyone had a say in who from Needham would help select the final candidates for statewide office, who'll appear on the Democratic primary ballot in September. It's a great opportunity to make sure progressive points of view are represented--but only if folks show up to be, literally, counted!

In the end, 10 Progressive Needham members were elected as Delegates, and many more delegates elected are also part of the greater Progressive Needham community

Combined with the comprehensive Progressive Mass Candidate Questionnaires, the upcoming endorsement, and our continued local organizing (next PN meeting: March 9!), we are already making a difference on the larger processes of politics, bit by bit, from the grassroots. ("Act Locally").
