Our Values – What We Believe

Progressive Mass works to move Massachusetts toward a future where the values of equal opportunity, social and economic justice, consumer and environmental protection, health care as a right, equal access to quality public services, respect for all residents and accountable and transparent government are given top priority.  As we do so, we embrace a set of values which guides our thinking and our action on specific policies and bills.  Our values address:

Job Growth and the Economy

Education and Workforce Development

Public Transportation

Public Safety and Criminal Justice

Providing for Our Neediest

Affordable Housing

Health Care

Energy and the Environment

Clean Elections and Voting Rights

Civil and Legal Rights

Revenue

Collective Bargaining

Immigration

Veterans

State House Rules Reform

  1. It all sounds good. My single fear is that we do not become as rigid on the left as the Tea Party movement has become on the right. At this moment in time many are feeling the pinch and focusing on family and the holidays. Extended family members need help in many instances and movements like Progressive Massachusetts need to be aware of that! Private charities and churches have taken a back seat this election cycle. Giving will be focused on charitable giving and family needs during the holiday season! Even so, the gap is not likely to be closed.
