Meet with Senator Jamie Eldridge to join the fight for immigrants’ rights

State Senator Jamie Eldridge will be coming to Porter Square to fill us in on efforts to protect immigrants in Massachusetts and how we can take effective action around this important issue. Senator Eldridge is lead sponsor of the Safe Communities Act, which is designed to protect the civil rights of all state residents by making sure our tax dollars are not used to help the Trump administration deport immigrant families or to create
a Muslim registry.

This event is part of the new monthly series “Be The Change, A Community Civic Engagement Program.” Porter Square Books is partnering with Cambridge-Somerville for Change to gather friends and neighbors to take concrete steps toward progressive change. Events will be held on the last Sunday of each month.
