Cambridge/Somerville Makes Calls for Immigrants' Rights & Economic Justice - 8/29/2017

This week we will make calls for important issues issues facing our Commonwealth: passing the Safe Communities Act, raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, and ensuring paid family and medical leave for all.

Immigrants Rights Calls

The Safe Communities Act protects the civil rights, safety and well-being of all Massachusetts residents. The bill is currently stuck in committee so we will be calling Progressive Mass members in key districts to help them pressure their legislators to move the bill to the floor for a vote.

Raise Up Volunteer Recruitment Calls

As part of the Raise Up Massachusetts coalition, we will be recruiting volunteers to join us in a crucial signature drive to take the fights for a $15/hour Minimum Wage and Paid Family and Medical Leave to the ballot.

A cell phone, fully charged or with the charger, and headphones if you prefer. We’ll supply everything else you need and provide training. And, thanks to Alicia, we’ll have fresh baked cookies!
