Last month\, 30+ organizations laid out a set of pro-transparency\, pro-participation\, pro-democracy reforms that would boost public confidence in the legislative process. \nWith the Senate rules behind us and the House rules being taken up later this month\, where does the campaign stand? We do not need a new women’s prison! We need a moratorium on prison construction. We need new ways to let women out of prison and ensure they are not incarcerated in the first place. We need to reimagine our communities so there is less harm and more abundance. \n
