SUMMARY:S.O.S. Phone Bank - Tell your Legislators Not to Negotiate with Extortionists!
DESCRIPTION:S.O.S. Phone Bank – Tell your Legislators Not to Negotiate with Extortionists!\nCorporate CEOs are backing two ballot questions- with the help of Massachusetts High Tech Council \,Massachusetts Competitive Partnership and The Massachusetts Opportunity Alliance- to cut the income tax. With Trump’s cuts to the state\, these questions will blow an $8 Billion hole in the budget. That means defunding our schools\, our cities and towns\, and our health care. \nNow that we have put pressure on the corporations to leave these consortiums and oppose the ballot measure\, they’re trying to storng-arm the legislature into a deal to cut taxes for millionaires and corporations. If they’re able to do so this time\, who is to say that other corporate interest groups won’t follow suit in the future? \nIf they get their way\, they will come back with threats like these every cycle. We need your help to call your legislators and make sure they don’t fall for this strategy!

SUMMARY:Progressive Mass 2026 Lobby Day
DESCRIPTION:Progressive Mass 2026 Lobby Day\nWe’re in the final 100 days of the legislative session\, and there’s a lot to get done. \nJoin us at the State House as we advocate for priorities from our Legislative Agenda. \nWe need the MA House to take action where the MA Senate has already: by strengthening data privacy protections and reining in politically motivated book bans. \nWe need the MA Senate to take action to strengthen the PROTECT Act and protect our immigrant communities\, and to rein in utility profiteering and pass an energy bill that doesn’t scapegoat Mass Save. \nWe need both chambers to say NO to corporate extortionists trying to get themselves ANOTHER massive tax cut. \nAnd we need both chambers to take initiative and pass Same Day Registration and rent control before June 30\, the deadline for turning in ballot question signature sheets.

See their thoughts at bit.ly/FraminghamVoices. We will meet up in Boston to start the rally\, or you can also join us later in Framingham. Our ride will be emceed by formerly incarcerated women. Come be part of this beautiful tradition! Register to receive more details about logistics closer to the date of the rally. We anticipate a 2:30 pm Boston meetup time // 4:00 pm Framingham meetup time\, but will let you know ASAP if this changes.

SUMMARY:People Over Utility Profits: Boston Rally
DESCRIPTION:People Over Utility Profits: Boston Rally\nWednesday\, June 10\, 2026\, 1 pm\, 800 Boylston St \nhttps://actionnetwork.org/events/people-over-utility-profits-boston-rally \n  \nEnergy utility corporations are raking in record profits while we’re struggling to pay our energy bills. With our money in hand\, utilities like Eversource\, National Grid\, and Berkshire Gas are attempting to increase our reliance on expensive and polluting fossil fuels\, destroying our health and our planet. \nThese utilities spend millions of dollars a year lobbying Massachusetts legislators to cut back on climate goals and allow them to keep polluting as much as possible. \nOn June 10th\, Mass Power Forward\, is holding a statewide rally with three locations across MA asking legislators to cut their ties to utilities and pass a climate bill that puts people over utility profits. On June 10th\, legislators will have just 50 days to pass climate legislation to help make energy clean and affordable. \nThe Boston rally will begin at the Eversource headquarters at 1pm. We will then “follow the money” from the Eversource headquarters to the Statehouse\, where we will rally at 2:30pm. \n

\nNow that we have put pressure on the corporations to leave these consortiums and oppose the ballot measure\, they’re trying to strong-arm the legislature into a deal to cut taxes for millionaires and corporations. If they’re able to do so this time\, who is to say that other corporate interest groups won’t follow suit in the future? \nIf they get their way\, they will come back with threats like these every cycle. We need your help to call your legislators and make sure they don’t fall for this strategy!

SUMMARY:Gun Violence Prevention on the Ballot
DESCRIPTION:Gun Violence Prevention on the Ballot\nYou’ve probably seen signature collectors out in force for the ten campaigns currently collecting to get questions on the November ballot. \nBut what you need to remember is that there are *11* potential questions\, as one question is already guaranteed a spot on the ballot. \nThat’s because the gun lobby in the state collected signatures for a referendum on MA’s 2024 gun safety omnibus bill. It’s critical to remember as well that you vote YES to keep the law. \nBut what’s in the bill anyway? And why is this so important? Join us on Monday\, June 15\, at 7 pm to learn more about the Vote Yes for a Safe MA campaign and how to get involved.
