DESCRIPTION:Minnesota’s Resistance: Lessons For Massachusetts\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow did ordinary people in Minneapolis organize effectively to support their vulnerable neighbors and defeat the violent ICE invasion of their community? \nHow we can apply those lessons learned here in Massachusetts\, and in other communities? \nJoin prizewinning PBS filmmaker Patrice O’Neill\, the founder of the Not in Our Town movement\, for a preview of selected clips from her forthcoming documentary Minnesota Neighbors: Not in Our Town\, followed by a panel discussion with community organizers from the ACLU\, MIRA Coalition\, LUCE\, Dunk the Vote and the Boston Trainers Collective. \nThe people of Minnesota provide a model for the whole nation\, winning the JFK Library’s 2026 Profile in Courage Award for their courage and compassion\, as they banded together to support vulnerable neighbors in their communities. \nThis film preview and panel discussion is organized by True North Action Alliance Boston\, a joint chapter of Indivisible.org and Progressive Massachusetts \nIn-person only\, with no live stream or recording.\nThis event is free but donations are appreciated.\nSpace is limited — Registration is required

SUMMARY:S.O.S. Phone Bank - Tell your Legislators Not to Negotiate with Extortionists!
DESCRIPTION:S.O.S. Phone Bank – Tell your Legislators Not to Negotiate with Extortionists!\nCorporate CEOs are backing two ballot questions- with the help of Massachusetts High Tech Council \,Massachusetts Competitive Partnership and The Massachusetts Opportunity Alliance- to cut the income tax. With Trump’s cuts to the state\, these questions will blow an $8 Billion hole in the budget. That means defunding our schools\, our cities and towns\, and our health care. \nNow that we have put pressure on the corporations to leave these consortiums and oppose the ballot measure\, they’re trying to storng-arm the legislature into a deal to cut taxes for millionaires and corporations. If they’re able to do so this time\, who is to say that other corporate interest groups won’t follow suit in the future? \nIf they get their way\, they will come back with threats like these every cycle. We need your help to call your legislators and make sure they don’t fall for this strategy!

SUMMARY:Progressive Mass 2026 Lobby Day
DESCRIPTION:Progressive Mass 2026 Lobby Day\nWe’re in the final 100 days of the legislative session\, and there’s a lot to get done. \nJoin us at the State House as we advocate for priorities from our Legislative Agenda. \nWe need the MA House to take action where the MA Senate has already: by strengthening data privacy protections and reining in politically motivated book bans. \nWe need the MA Senate to take action to strengthen the PROTECT Act and protect our immigrant communities\, and to rein in utility profiteering and pass an energy bill that doesn’t scapegoat Mass Save. \nWe need both chambers to say NO to corporate extortionists trying to get themselves ANOTHER massive tax cut. \nAnd we need both chambers to take initiative and pass Same Day Registration and rent control before June 30\, the deadline for turning in ballot question signature sheets.

DESCRIPTION:The Tech Billionaires Are Coming for Fair Share. Here’s How to Fight Back.\nThe corporate lobby in Massachusetts is backing two ballot questions that\, combined\, would cut 10% of the state budget\, defunding essential programs on which we all depend\, hobbling the state economy\, and exacerbating the damage from federal cuts to health care and food assistance. All of this to enrich themselves. \nBut labor\, faith\, and community groups are fighting back. Harris Gruman from the SEIU State Council explains what’s at stake and how to join the fight.
