Phone Bank – Tell your Legislators Not to Negotiate with Extortionists!\nCorporate CEOs are backing two ballot questions- with the help of Massachusetts High Tech Council \,Massachusetts Competitive Partnership and The Massachusetts Opportunity Alliance- to cut the income tax. With Trump’s cuts to the state\, these questions will blow an $8 Billion hole in the budget. That means defunding our schools\, our cities and towns\, and our health care. \nNow that we have put pressure on the corporations to leave these consortiums and oppose the ballot measure\, they’re trying to strong-arm the legislature into a deal to cut taxes for millionaires and corporations. If they’re able to do so this time\, who is to say that other corporate interest groups won’t follow suit in the future? \nIf they get their way\, they will come back with threats like these every cycle. We need your help to call your legislators and make sure they don’t fall for this strategy!

The day in 1975 that 90% of women in Iceland ‘took the day off’ rocked the nation and began a movement that has propelled the country from the bottom to the top of world gender equality indexes.  The documentary uses personal stories and animation to show how this massive\, humorous\, and urgent act of solidarity launched Iceland into a global leader of gender equality.
