Progressive Mass Board (November 2019)

Congratulations to the following board members, elected in November 2019!

 

Caroline Bays is one of the founding members of Progressive Watertown and a longtime political activist for progressive causes. She is currently a member of the Progressive Mass Issues Committee and specializes in criminal justice and housing policies.

Andrew "Gumby" Breton is a Steering Committee member and former Co-Chair of JP Progressives. He likes to take his small children canvassing with him for progressive candidates like State Rep Nika Elugardo, on whose campaign committee he served last year. His day-job is in data engineering.

Jonathan Cohn is the chair of PM's Issues Committee and the Elections Committee. Since moving to Boston in 2013, he has been an active campaigner for local, state, and federal candidates and progressive causes. One of the "ten people on Twitter" who helped defeat Boston's Olympic bid, he is an editor by trade.

John Kirk is a Progressive Needham Steering Committee member and long-time Needham Town Meeting member. An active canvasser, event organizer, lobbyist, and community organizer, John lives in Needham with his equally politically active wife Susan. In his day job, he is a Principal in a small financial consulting firm.

Mohammed Missouri is  the Executive Director of Jetpac, a non-profit dedicated to increasing representation of American Muslims in politics and government. A political strategist and organizer, he previously worked as Communications Director and Senior Policy Advisor for Senator Jamie Eldridge.

Rachel Poliner is a founder and ongoing organizer of Progressive West Roxbury/Roslindale, PM's chapter in southwest Boston. She also serves as a co-leader of PM’s Chapters Committee, which offers support to new and current chapters. Professionally, Rachel is an educational consultant and author on social-emotional learning and school climate.

Maryann Wattendorf is a founding member of Progressive Dedham-Westwood-Norwood. She has served on PM’s Finance and Fundraising Committee and chaired the Governance Committee. Her professional background includes management roles in health care, education and small non-profit organizations.
