Let Lawmakers Know You Want Strong Vaccine Requirements

Join Massachusetts Families for Vaccines for an advocacy day in support of H.2554! We will gather at Church on the Hill Boston to hear from speakers beginning at 10:00am and then will head across the street to the State House to visit lawmakers and ask for their support passing H.2554 into law.

WHY?

Vaccination rates in some Massachusetts schools and communities have dropped to dangerously low levels, making outbreaks of preventable diseases not just possible, but inevitable. 

H.2554 provides a practical solution. The bill closes a loophole that allows parents to opt their children out of required immunizations while ensuring that necessary medical exemptions remain protected. The bills would also provide better data about our actual immunization rates throughout the Commonwealth.

This legislation was reported out favorably by the Joint Committee on Public Health in the last two legislative sessions. Now, it’s time to pass it into law.
