Bay State Birth Coalition’s Massachusetts State House Advocacy 101 Workshop

Interested in learning how to turn your passion into power and community priorities into policy change. Get the 101 on legislative advocacy in Massachusetts from the birth justice advocacy leaders of the Bay State Birth Coalition. Workshop leaders will draw from their experience leading midwifery advocacy for a decade, successfully passing a landmark maternal health omnibus law and securing millions in state funding for birth centers. Participants will gain an understanding of the state legislative and budgeting processes, including when and how to effectively advocate. Using actionable strategies and real-world examples, this interactive session will equip participants with the tools to begin with confidence and supercharge their advocacy.
